Terry Talley - Dimension Energy Services

Terry Talley serves as National Sales and Estimation Director for Dimension Energy Services. He covers a wide territory to bring in new customers and new business opportunities for the company, while being based in San Antonio. Talley brings extensive leadership and business development experience that he has acquired over the past 38 years.

Talley came to Dimension from Cimarron Underground, an energy services contractor. During his 10-year employment with Cimarron, he held the positions of Manager-Business Development & Estimating, Manager, and General Superintendent. As a general superintendent, he oversaw multiple pipeline and gas distribution projects. His project management responsibilities included allocating manpower and equipment and billing for each project.

Prior to joining Cimarron, Talley worked with his family-owned telecommunications company, called Telecommunications Services, Inc., in San Antonio, for 28 years. Talley became interested in telecommunications work at an early age. As a pre-teen, Talley and his brother often accompanied their father to work at night at Southwestern Bell. After Talley’s graduation from high school, he and his brother, along with an uncle, formed Telecommunication Services.

Talley’s uncle, who had extensive business experience, mentored him while at Telecommunications Services, Inc. He learned how to negotiate contracts, how to bid on projects, and how important billing is to cash flow. Talley eventually became the company’s managing partner, a role he occupied for 17 years.

“It (Telecommunications Services, Inc.) also gave me the experience to do business development, learn how to treat customers, and how to present myself with integrity and be a man of my word, which are things I learned under my uncle’s mentorship,” he said. “I couldn’t get that in a university.”

He holds memberships in several organizations, including the Texas Gas Association, the Petroleum Club in Midland, Texas, the Tulsa Pipeline Association, and the Houston Pipeliners Association.

His hobbies include fishing, hunting, golf and riding motorcycles.
